A present for my nan's birthday and also an entry for the :iconunicorn-club: competition to draw a unicorn with flowers somehow. So my golden unicorn is out bringing spring to the lands that have been struck by winter.

Not my greatest, I know, but I just wanted to get it finished and I know I can't do a lot more to it. I've been busy recently, very very busy, hence the lack of art. This was meant to be finished 4 days ago.

Nevertheless, I am proud of this picture. My friend was over while I was drawing a bit of it, and it is safe to say that he is very jealous of my skills. Practice practice practice =)

Time taken: Over 6 hours
Tools used: Photoshop CS3 and a tablet

Well, I think it's very nice. =) Your nan should like it. =)
Very creative idea here Mapal, and like :iconakaishi: said, I too love how you encorporate the flowers onto the unicorn itself. He really stands out, so bright and colourful agaisnt the dark, dull background. ^^ But some bits of critique, if you don't mind-
His back right leg, seems to have lots of little 'chunks' 'cut out' of it, and the way the lone leaf is positioned on the tree in the background looks odd. But apart from that, it's very nice! I love your additon of the fog, and the textures are awesome. Like Cinder said, the shading's awesome, and I LOVE how you do unicorn manes and tails. :heart: Great job, Mapal!

The back right leg was so damn fucked up >.< I was drawing from a picture, and the perspective on it was weird xD so I had to do a fixer-upper and forgot to soften the leg. Ah well, thanks for pointing that out. I'm glad you like it =) more realism to come hopefully.
